From June 11th to June 13th, 2024, at the inaugural "China Powder Industry Hundred People Forum" held in Guangzhou, Dr. Chen Jundong from LNPE was invited to participate and presented a report on "Key Technologies in Preparation of New Energy Battery Materials Powders." His presentation highlighted innovative applications of steam kinetic jet mill and controlled milling technologies.
The forum, co-initiated by the Powder Technology Branch of the China Electronic Materials Industry Association and the Powder Circle Platform, aimed to gather experts and entrepreneurs in the field of powder materials from domestic and international arenas to discuss the future of Chinese powder industry. The theme of the forum was "Powder Technology Accelerating Chinese Manufacturing Industry," covering topics such as the integration of powder industry into the national economy, new energy sectors, and aspects of safety and environmental protection.
During the forum, Dr. Chen Jundong elaborated on steam kinetic jet mill and controlled milling technologies. Steam kinetic jet mill utilizes superheated steam as a grinding power, converting thermal energy into high-quality kinetic energy. It delivers high-intensity, high-efficiency grinding effects and efficient drying capabilities simultaneously. For instance, in grinding calcined coke, a single machine can achieve a production rate of 5t/h (d50=7μm). When used for grinding lithium carbonate with 10% moisture content, it can dry the material to as low as 0.02% moisture content during grinding. This technology demonstrates outstanding performance in grinding and drying materials such as calcined coke and lithium carbonate.
Additionally, Dr. Chen introduced controlled milling technology. This technology employs a uniquely developed airflow control structure to achieve controllable and adjustable grinding intensity, resulting in products with high yield and economic efficiency. For example, when used for post-sintering ternary material grinding, it achieves a 100% yield without any raw material loss, significantly enhancing raw material utilization rates. Due to its controllable grinding intensity, it can also be used for disaggregation of agglomerated powder materials, achieving disaggregation without loss. This technology exhibits significant advantages in areas such as ternary material grinding and disaggregation of agglomerated powder materials, greatly improving raw material utilization rates.
Dr. Chen Jundong's presentation representing LNPE received high praise from experts and entrepreneurs alike at the forum. It was unanimously agreed that the innovative applications of these two technologies will inject new vitality into Chinese powder industry and drive the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing.
LNPE, as a leading domestic manufacturer of powder equipment, has been committed to the research and application of powder technology. Their participation in the "China Powder Industry Hundred People Forum" and the presentation of key technological research not only showcased the company's technical strength and innovative achievements but also provided more opportunities and challenges for the future development of LNPE.
Looking ahead, LNPE will continue to advance the progress and application of powder technology, contributing to the accelerated development of Chinese manufacturing industry.
